Delilah spreader range revised and refreshed to create new 2000 series
Making its debut on the firm's stand at LAMMA 2014, the revised range of Delilah muck spreaders, built in Suffolk by Richard Western, features a number of significant revisions to meet farmer and contractor demands for greater capacity and precision in manure application.

New D2080, D2100 and D2120 models replace the D8, D10 and D12, while two new models join the range – the 9.5t capacity D2095 with a lower loading height than the similarly-sized D2100, and a new flagship machine, the 15t D2150.

Have your say on tractor and trailer consultations

A government consultation examining trailer weights and speeds is to be carried out following years of NFU lobbying.

The consultations will seek opinion on increasing the weight and speed limits for agricultural vehicles which will enable farmers to transport produce more efficiently.

Stone & Rubble Trailers

A new range of heavy duty trailers for moving stone and rubble is now available form Richard Western in 20 and 24 tonne models with three body size options.

These Stone & Rubble Trailers have been designed to handle the tough jobs. The model options have a carrying capacity of 20 or 24 tonnes and are fitted with 10 stud commercial axles with 420mm x180mm brakes on mono leaf spring suspension. The tapered monocoque body has 6mm side panels and 8mm floor and is available in sizes of 8, 9, 12 and 15 cubic metres.

Standard equipment includes a sprung drawbar and a hydraulic up and over tailgate.

Easy Load Livestock Transporter Trailers

A new range of drop bed livestock transporter trailers for transporting all types of farm animals is now available form Richard Western.

The Easy Load Livestock Transporter Trailer is designed so that the bed of the trailer lowers down to the ground by pivoting the axle. Using the tractor hydraulics the axle is returned to the transport position and locked in place for transport.

Size options available for cattle and pig transport.

New generation, high output Grain Chasers

Richard Western's products really are 'proven in the field' as this attached video shows.

We constantly strive to improve our range and quality and our latest new generation, high output Grain Chasers demonstrate the reliability and performance for which we are renowned.

They are available in three models; the GR18, the GR24 and the GR30 with the number relating to the approximate tonnage which each chaser can carry.  All are built to a high specification including sprung drawbars and monoleaf suspension as standard and run on 800mm wide flotation tyres to reduce ground compaction. They have a low centre of gravity which offers stability when operating on sloping ground and have a range of features dependent upon the model, the largest model, the GR30, having triple axles and rear axle steering which improves steering and reduces scrubbing.

Richard Western at LAMMA ‘13

Make sure you come and see us at the LAMMA '13 show on 16^th and 17^th January where we will be exhibiting again; stand number G10 – the same location as previous years.

Here is a great opportunity to come and see our latest products. We will have a selection of trailers on show including the Suffolk SF14HS silage trailer with hydraulic tailgate and rubber seal, fitted with 560/60R22.5 radial tyres and a range of other options.

New for 2013 - Suffolk trailer models which will come fitted with displacement tipping rams featuring chromed tubing.

We will also be featuring the RC14HS root crop trailer. This, as with all our root crop trailers, comes with hydraulic tailgate, full width front window and a 3’9” body height. The HS models are fitted with 10 stud commercial axles with 420mm x 180mm brakes and LED side marker lights.

Completing the trailer line up is the SWT18 Wellington trailer. The Wellington range has an impressive list of standard features that include commercial axles, sprung drawbar, LED lights, high clearance hydraulic tailgate with extra bracing and a 60 degree tipping angle making it the right choice for heavy duty work and sugar beet heaping.

You can also see the GR24 chaser bin complete with rear steering axle. Introduced in 2012 the GR range of chaser bins have been designed for increased performance to keep pace with the latest high output combine harvesters. This new design includes a PTO driven floor auger and a 600mm unloading auger ensuring  faster unloading times.

The Delilah spreader  featuring the D10 with twin vertical beaters will also be on show as will the  D12 with horizontal beaters and spinning discs. Standard features on Delilah spreaders include 60mm floor drive shaft,  4 heavy duty floor chains, wide angled PTO shaft, 1000rpm gearbox,  LED lights, 6mm floor and 4mm sides.
